Position Objective:
The Marketing & Design Coordinator is a creative, hands-on graphic designer who plays a key role in shaping the organization’s visual identity and growing its community of patrons and supporters. Reporting directly to the Director of Community Advancement, this position is responsible for designing compelling, on-brand materials across both digital and print platforms, while also supporting grassroots marketing and community outreach efforts that increase awareness, engagement, attendance, and support for the organization. A flexible schedule is required to accommodate community events, programs, and other organizational activities taking place during evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Artwork Coordination & Creation:
Communicate with pertinent departments to discuss artwork requirements in advance
Create digital and print materials for CCAEF Presented & Free Events
Collaborate with Community Advancement team to design & distribute CCAEF brand materials
Attend CCAEF Events to capture and post content for social media profiles and brand marketing
Design & print membership assets and donor cultivation materials
Communicate directly with printer to ensure highest quality print materials from files
Utilize personal vehicle to pick up printed materials from printer
Grassroots Marketing Support:
List CCAEF events in Community Calendars
Additional grassroots digital marketing efforts, i.e. Posting in Event Groups, Creating Targeted Outreach Lists
Tabling Community Events and creating marketing materials for community outreach
Postering in the local community
Special Events Support:
Design & print event materials like invitations, programs, signage, menus, certificates
Day of event support (photography, social media, customer service)
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Strong creative judgment
Proficiency with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
Basic to intermediate video editing skills
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to accomplish multiple priorities in a fast-paced work setting
Comfort with photography (DSLR or high-quality mobile) at live events
Ability to manage print production timelines and vendor coordination
Availability on nights and weekends when events occur
Driver's license
Experience in community, nonprofit, education, or museum settings is preferred but not required
Bi-lingual a plus
Education and Experience:
Minimum of an Associate's degree, and at least 2 years of relevant experience in graphic design, marketing, or a related field
Nonprofit experience desired, but not required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The workspace is in an office, front desk, and sales environment. Noise levels vary, but can be moderate to high during programming and events. While performing this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time with respect to both indoor and outdoor events. Temperature levels may include hot, cold, and mild. The noise level in the work environment may be low, moderate, and at times may be high.
