JOB SUMMARY:

This position will lead marketing efforts with collaboration with Marketing Creative Manager and President to create and implement marketing strategy. This position provides creative strategy for marketing, branding, and assists in submitting RFPs. This position will focus on digital and print design, social media, and creating, promoting, and executing marketing strategies to achieve business goals.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. Lead marketing strategy across all media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. Create content and/or oversee content creation for engaging social media posts to reach the company’s target audience using written content, photos, graphic design and videos.




2. Proactively direct marketing and communication initiatives. Contribute to creating, planning, and executing marketing strategies including graphic design concepts to ensure company branding is cohesive and in line with company core values.




3. In collaboration with leadership, assist in preparing proposals and/or responses to RFPs, client presentations for new and existing clients. Prepare custom brochures, resumes, and various materials and documents for proposals, as assigned.




4. Manage company website and ensure content is current and supports business objectives. May be responsible for leading web-site redesign, when necessary.




5. Research and identify outside vendors for necessary design or marketing related products or services. Assist in creating and maintaining complete inventory of marketing materials.




6. Assist in the development and execution of communication plans, including design, content creation, and distribution of the company newsletter.




7. Represent Company at community events and business events to promote name recognition and increase business opportunities. Take photos of events for inclusion in social media posts.




8. Assist with planning, organize and documenting special events including Employee Recognition, Anniversary Parties, Annual Meeting, Holiday Parties, Golf Outing, etc., as requested. This may include designing/delivering invitations and brochures, and coordination with venue and vendors.




9. Coordinate and attend professional photography sessions for major projects, facilitating cost sharing with architects.




10. Perform related duties as requested to support marketing efforts and business development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field OR minimum 2 years of experience in Graphic Design/marketing role required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to create effective marketing materials and interact with diverse groups. 

* Ability to create and edit professionally written marketing and proposal materials.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Must be open to provide and receive feedback in a collaborative environment.
* Experience in website design and content management. 
* Must be detail-oriented and well-organized to coordinate multiple projects and activities. 
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, WordPress, basic photography, and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom. 
* Previous experience in a marketing role in the construction industry is desired. 
* Must have at time of hire and maintain throughout employment a valid New York State Driver’s license to travel to project locations throughout Upstate and Central New York. 
* May be required to work more than 40 hours per week, including evening and/or weekend hours as requested.
