eCommerce Solution Architect/Project Manager

(B2B & B2C Focus)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance eCommerce Solution Architect & Project Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms, technologies, and industry best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture:
• Analyze complex B2B and B2C business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
• Design and document robust eCommerce solutions, including system architecture, data flows, and integration points with ERP systems.
• Evaluate and select appropriate B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms, technologies, and third-party integrations.
• Develop detailed technical design documents and system diagrams.
• Project Management:
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, business analysts, and ERP specialists.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud, Oracle Commerce Cloud, IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce)
• Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with backend development (PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js)
• Knowledge of database systems (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with APIs, web services, and integration technologies, especially with ERP systems (Sage, Netsuite, Acumatica, Infor, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of the CIMcloud platform is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successful B2B and B2C eCommerce project delivery
• 8+ years of experience in eCommerce solution architecture and project management
• Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of eCommerce technologies
• Experience with ERP systems and integrations
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
