THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a commercially minded E-commerce & Marketing Manager to lead the new company’s day-to-day digital business and integrated marketing execution. This role sits at the intersection of brand building and revenue growth: translating brand strategy into launch plans, customer journeys, site experiences and campaigns that move customers from discovery to purchase and repeat engagement.
The ideal candidate has managed a consumer e-commerce business and also understands how brand, creative, social, lifecycle, influencer, and paid media work together. They are equal parts strategic operator and collaborative cross-functional leader—comfortable working with data, shaping a campaign brief, and driving a complex launch calendar to completion.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Ecommerce Platform & Customer Experience
Platform ownership — Own Shopify site end to end — from merchandising, page optimization, and checkout experience
Performance — Own core DTC performance: revenue, conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition efficiency, and repeat purchase
Trading calendar — Build and maintain the e-commerce calendar — launches, promotions, bundles, and evergreen growth moments
Infrastructure — Stand up and maintain tracking, attribution, and lifecycle infrastructure (analytics, Klaviyo flows) for a brand building this from zero
Optimization — Use site analytics and testing to identify conversion opportunities and translate them into prioritized action
Launch readiness — Coordinate channel readiness — inventory, product information, pricing, assets, and timing — with the teams that own those inputs
Integrated Marketing & Brand Activation
Go-to-market — Translate new company’s brand strategy into go-to-market plans for launches, drops, and seasonal or cultural moments
Campaign planning — Build channel plans, timelines, and success measures in partnership with the Brand Director and functional leads
Channel integration — Connect paid media, organic social, influencer, email/SMS, and social commerce into one customer journey
Insight — Surface consumer, category, and competitive insight that informs positioning and content
Trend fluency — Track pop culture, beauty, and nail trends in real time and turn them into commercial ideas before they peak
Commercial Performance & Reporting
Performance monitoring — Monitor weekly and monthly performance; diagnose drivers and recommend action on traffic, conversion, mix, promotions, and retention
Reporting — Maintain launch and channel scorecards; communicate learnings, risks, and recommendations to brand leadership
Brand health — Balance short-term revenue needs against the long-term health and distinctiveness of the brand
Cross-Functional Coordination
Scope — Act as the day-to-day connector across Marketing, Creative, Social, Ecommerce, and Marketplace
Execution — Drive timelines and decisions across these shared teams and external partners without duplicating specialist ownership of each function
Direction — Give clear priorities and actionable feedback to channel owners, agencies, and creative partners
Risk management — Anticipate launch dependencies and escalate risks early with proposed solutions
Boundaries — Partner with Operations, Product Development, and Finance for the inputs the new brand needs from them (inventory, product timing, budget) — this role does not own or lead those functions
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-Have
Hands-on Shopify expertise — you have built and launched a store, not just managed one that already existed
Marketing experience spanning campaign strategy, demand generation, or lifecycle/CRM
Experience planning and executing product launches or integrated, multi-channel campaigns
Comfort operating solo, without a large team, in ambiguous, early-stage conditions
Genuine fluency in beauty and pop culture — you already follow nail/beauty trends, drops, and cultural moments without being told to, and can translate them into commercial ideas
Beauty, fashion, or consumer DTC background
5–7 years of combined experience across ecommerce operations and marketing, including at least one full-cycle DTC brand launch with direct ownership of revenue and site performance
Nice-to-Have
Liquid development familiarity
Specifically nail or beauty category experience, where trend cycles turn over fastest
Experience launching a brand from zero, not just growing an existing one
Familiarity with attribution tools such as Triple Whale or GA4
Social commerce, TikTok Shop, or Amazon marketplace coordination experience
