The Director of Product and Pipeline Communications will drive product communications initiatives and activities across a growing roster of therapeutic areas for our Endocrinology business and metabolic disease program. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, the Director of Product and Pipeline Communications will drive initiatives that support increased product awareness and bolster Corcept’s corporate reputation, developing approaches to communication that improve engagement with external stakeholders and meet the evolving business needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Partner with leaders throughout the organization to plan and execute strategic communications activities to raise visibility of our products and pipeline
Develop and implement communications plans leveraging earned media, sponsored content, social media and owned media channels to engage and inform media, investors, employees, healthcare professionals, consumers, policymakers, advocacy partners and other external stakeholders
Manage content planning and execution to drive visibility of Corcept’s products, leadership and activities on social channels
Engage advocacy organizations to support increased disease state awareness and drive awareness of Corcept’s research efforts for specific patient populations
Oversee media relations: proactive pitching, reactive responses to media inquiries, coverage monitoring and other interactions with media
Own product and pipeline-focused internal communications initiatives
Manage executive communications and thought leadership initiatives for therapeutic areas
Demonstrate strong leadership across cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving high-quality, timely execution
Manage communications agency and other external vendors
Model Corcept’s key principles: collaborating effectively, embracing possibilities, following the data, and leading by doing
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
Confident in building effective working relationships, inside and outside of Corcept
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business priorities into clear and effective communications strategies
Exceptional strategic writing and editing skills, with the ability to synthesize scientific and technical information into accessible language for a broad range of audiences
Sound judgment and composure in managing sensitive or high-impact situations
Team player; able to provide effective coaching and guidance to peers and other team members
Social media experience with planning strategies and creating impactful content
Experience supporting executive visibility across internal and external channels
Proven ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and adapt approaches as business needs evolve
Requires 15-25% travel
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, including journalism, public relations, communications
Past experience working in biopharma communications and/or healthcare agency experience is strongly preferred
Minimum 12 years in roles delivering high-impact communications strategies
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $238,900 – $281,100; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
