The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. In addition to our U.S. members, EEI has more than 65 international electric companies, with operations in more than 90 countries, as International Members, and hundreds of industry suppliers and related organizations as Associate Members.
The Director, Media Relations will be responsible for day-to-day communications and media outreach and relationship building to broaden awareness and increase the visibility of the electric power industry and EEI’s policy agenda. Must be able to work seamlessly across various teams to work with subject matter experts to respond to media inquiries on a wide range of issues and contribute to the execution of advocacy communication campaigns.
This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.

The salary range for this role begins at $130,000.00 - $175,000.00. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of the base salary.
