The Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) is a Secretariat within the executive branch of the Commonwealth responsible for directing and executing the Governor’s agenda on economic, community and business development, job creation, consumer affairs, and business regulation.

About the Role:
The Deputy Director of Communications of the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) works closely with the Director of Communications to assist with the coordination of communications, social media, and press outreach across the secretariat, the planning and execution of public events involving EOED and the Governor’s Office, and the preparation of briefing documents for the Secretary or Governor’s Office as needed.
The Deputy Director coordinates their activities with the Director of Communications on all matters. The incumbent will have access to confidential material/information that must be safeguarded at all times, including when spearheading the development of press releases for agency programs and events and developing key messages for social media.
