About JLab
JLab imagines and delivers the personal technology products that consumers want. With our line of personal audio gear and office accessories, we’re innovating absolutely everything to make way better personal tech. Based in San Diego, we’ve been offering the right sound, the right features, and the right value since 2005. JLab is proud to be a six-time winner of Best Places to Work in San Diego.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-driven Retail Channel Marketing Assistant to support two of JLab's key marketing functions: the Retail Channel and the International Marketing teams. This hands-on, coordination-focused role keeps retail display projects and international marketing initiatives moving on time, from kickoff to execution in stores and markets around the world.
In this role, you will track retail display projects end to end, tracking timelines, managing product and sample orders, and keeping vendors and internal teams informed. On the international side, you will turn market requests into creative briefs, manage timelines and vendors, and coordinate global shipments. Success requires strong follow-through, clear communication, and the ability to balance competing priorities across both teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to build real project management skills in a fast-paced consumer electronics brand. You'll see how retail marketing programs come together across product, sales, operations, and global markets, and you'll play a direct role in how JLab shows up on shelves and in campaigns around the world.
If you're the person who keeps a project on track, loves a well-organized task list, and wants to grow your career in retail and brand marketing, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Marketing and Merchandising (50%)
* Track retail display and shipper projects through every stage (sampling, production, freight, and delivery), maintaining accurate, real-time project records in Asana
* Monitor key deadlines, including graphics submission to factories, sample production, and approval windows, and update project owners as milestones are reached
* Track production details such as dummy units, purchase orders, part numbers, UPCs, and retailer-specific requirements to make sure nothing is missed before production
* Organize and maintain all project files
* Manage ordering and tracking of products and samples needed for display projects to ensure on-time delivery globally
International Marketing Support (30%)
* Liaise between International Sales and Creative to turn market requests into creative briefs and manage timelines through to delivery. Coordinate translation vendors and proofread localized materials, so product specs and regional details are accurate before release.
* Maintain an organized, accessible library of marketing assets to support global campaigns and brand consistency
* Coordinate US and international shipments for marketing activations, events, and partner deliveries, working with Logistics on customs paperwork, tracking, and on-time delivery for global campaigns and partnerships
* Support email campaigns and workflows across international markets (Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Norway) as needed
Administrative and Events Marketing (20%)
* Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of marketing events and trade shows
* Support the development of marketing materials, including B2B and event collateral
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Supply Chain/Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* 1–2 years of experience in marketing, retail, operations, project coordination, or a related field.
* Demonstrated project coordination experience with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
* Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up
* Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams and outside vendors
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and OneDrive
* Experience with project management software (we use Asana) and Canva preferred
* Interest in marketing, project management, and consumer electronics.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
* Ability and willingness to occasionally travel and work weekends for events
* Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must maintain work authorization for the duration of their employment. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Compensation
* Pay Range: $25.00–$28.80/hour (~$52,000–$60k/year), based on experience.
* Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, target 5% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.
Benefits & Perks, to name a few!
* Hybrid schedule: 1 remote day per week after 90-days
* 2 weeks Work-from-Anywhere program
* Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and additional insurance options.
* Unlimited Vacation
