Summary

The Regional Marketing Manager will work closely with Northwest Natural Goods Sales and Marketing (“Smarketing”) teams to support Marketing execution in multiple markets. Key work will revolve around continuous planning, presentation, and project management to build successful adoption and deployment of marketing tools in support of sales strategy. In-market presence and direct engagement with internal and external (retail / wholesale) partners is a key aspect of the role, requiring up to 50% travel. Regional Marketing Managers will participate in reconnaissance and development of new Merchandising and Marketing opportunities leveraging their region-specific expertise. The Regional Marketing Managers must have a strong interpersonal talent with a reputation for being an excellent communicator who inspires others through enthusiastic presentation of brand story and product education. Sales and/or Marketing background and knowledge plus Project Management experience is required. Wholesaler management and CPG experience is preferred.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Be Wyld’s Regional Marketing Leader and POC – supporting Sales in executing region / state-specific plans via impactful Marketing tactics (Key focus in Texas, Minnesota, Georgia, Tennessee)
Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with NWNG Sales Director, Sales Manager and Sales Market Development Managers to drive success on Brand presence, Merchandising, Activations, and National / Regional Programming
Work closely with key Wholesaler partners to ensure Wyld is top of mind and best represented - this includes in-market ride-alongs, sampling, education and delivering Marketing materials
Increased emphasis on execution of 360 programming (merchandising, advertising, OOH, sampling, events, digital) with key accounts – planning, executing and reporting / learning
Manage account / state / region-specific Merchandising projects from ideation to execution - including management of vendors, budget and PO process
Support Go-To-Market strategy by leading training of new tools to the NWNG Sales organization - including creation of new Brand / Trade training videos and presenting new product launch playbooks
Identify and lead larger in-store / out-of-store activations like community events, partnerships and digital / print advertising to drive Brand awareness
Manage region's Marketing spend - aligning with each state's goals and finding new opportunities, flexing resource and budget to increase Brand awareness and Sales revenue
Actively participate in local events, partnerships, promotional opportunities and select Trade Shows to drive Brand awareness and provide product samples (unmedicated, where appropriate)
Gather Region / State-level marketing intel, including new Brands / products, pricing, displays, marketing materials and overall industry shifts
Execute a quarterly Marketing SWOT analysis to help identifies in-market opportunities – resulting in innovative ways to elevate Wyld Brands’ in-store presence
Project manage an active portfolio of projects in collaboration with Sales and Marketing using Smartsheet, a project management application that allows key stakeholders to track projects in real time
Work independently in office / State facility and in the field, while contributing to CRM data to ensure visibility of all account-facing activity in Salesforce
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company, primarily through Slack, phone, and e-mail
Maintain equipment and ability to transport self and Marketing tools throughout the assigned home territory and through Wyld-provided transportation outside of home territory
Travel throughout responsible Region to focus and support on the above-mentioned responsibilities - roughly 30-50% travel (4-6 weeks per quarter)
Maybe assigned additional duties and responsibilities as needed


Qualifications

3-5 years Field or Trade Marketing experience strongly preferred with an understanding of Merchandising, Project Management and Event planning / coordination; or equivalent combination of education and CPG Sales experience.
Must have experience working in a fast-paced work environment.
Must have strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills.
Must be organized and have strong communication skills.
Must understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
Basic PC office application skills are required
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Must obtain all state required: permits, licenses, certifications
Travel Requirements: This position requires up to 50% travel throughout the regional territory, occasionally work on weekends to support key activations
State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older


Benefits
As a exempt employee, you'll receive a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000/yr + bonus potential, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
