POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal and external communication strategies across the New Mexico market and Americas Region markets. As part of the enterprise Communications & Corporate Affairs function, this role partners with local and regional leaders to develop and effectively disseminate clear, consistent, and actionable messaging that supports organizational priorities.
Develops and executes clear communication plans in partnership with market, regional and enterprise leaders, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable messaging.
Creates or supports the creation of a range of communication deliverables including talking points, press releases, web or email content, speeches and presentations.
Leads external communications activities for assigned market, including media relations, local story development, press releases, events and coordination with local market and enterprise leaders. Serve as a resource to regional markets as needed.
Supports crisis communication planning and response efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to protocols.
Provides dotted‑line oversight and guidance to local communications leads across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and supporting market‑specific priorities as needed.
Manages local market internal communication channels (newsletters, intranet content, mobile app messages, email campaigns, Town Halls, etc.), ensuring consistency, quality, and effective reach.
Improves communication effectiveness and reach across locations through coordinated use of channels, structured cascade routines, and enhanced communication strategies for hard‑to‑reach groups, including physicians.
Strengthens communication operations by implementing consistent workflows, approval paths, messaging tools, templates, and calendars across supported markets.
Establishes and refine feedback and measurement practices to evaluate communication performance, identify gaps and support continuous improvement.
Adheres to established metrics and reporting cadence track communication effectiveness across markets and support data-driven decision making.
Develops content aligned with market and enterprise focus areas by gathering story ideas, interviewing subject‑matter experts, and producing clear, engaging communications that support understanding and alignment. Work cross functionally to share content across other platforms including social media, Intranet sites, public blogs, etc.
Contributes to enterprise and local communication vehicles including The Thread, Ardent Community Impact Report and local Community Benefit Reports.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing or related field of study.
7+ years of related experience in communications, marketing or public relations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively partner with leadership and internal teams
High degree of discernment, judgement and personal accountability
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
