Our Marketing Traffic Manager oversees and optimizes the flow of work across the Marketing team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with efficient use of resources. This position partners closely with creative, web, email, content, and digital teams, as well as marketing managers and cross‑functional stakeholders, to drive consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Marketing Traffic Manager balances structure with creative execution, aligning resources to business priorities and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to brand standards.
AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Marketing Traffic Manager will work remotely.
More about what you’ll get to do as our Marketing Traffic Manager:
* Manage the intake, prioritization, scheduling, and distribution of marketing work, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and available resources.
* Develop and maintain project plans, production calendars, and workload forecasts while monitoring capacity and utilization to identify risks and resolve bottlenecks.
* Partner closely with marketing leadership, managers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to align scope, expectations, and delivery commitments, and provide clear, ongoing communication to internal stakeholders on the status and progress of marketing project deliverables.
* Oversee execution for both routine and high‑visibility initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with brand standards.
* Own and maintain marketing workflow and project management tools, ensuring accurate project data, documentation, reporting, and adherence to governance standards.
* Design, implement, and refine marketing operations processes, workflows, templates, and best practices, supporting change management and adoption of new tools and ways of working.
* Maintain accurate project data, timelines, and reporting in work management tools.
* Partner with marketing team leadership to forecast capacity and ensure optimal utilization of internal and external resources.
* Establish and track key performance indicators related to efficiency, quality, delivery timelines, and capacity, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, and contractors to balance workload demands and supplement internal capacity as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Must Have’s to be our Marketing Traffic Manager:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, project management, design or a related field. A combination of education and work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
* Minimum of 3 – 4 years of experience in marketing traffic management, marketing project management or a related marketing role.
* Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
* Experience working with creative project management software or workflow tools (e.g., Lytho, Workfront, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience working in healthcare (medical, hospitals, or related healthcare industries) or associations.
* Experience in an agency setting, internal or external.
* Experience supporting creative, web, email, content, and digital teams.
* Experience with Agile, Lean, or other process optimization methodologies.
* PMP, CPM, or equivalent project management certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Remote work environment, using a computer, telephone and other office equipment daily. Ability to travel as needed to support departmental and Association functions.
