Description
The Marketing Intern assists the Marketing Department with various marketing functions including (i) social media content gathering and posting, (ii) proposal narrative cultivation, cataloging, and creation, (iii) database mining and entries, and (iv) other administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities
The duties, responsibilities and attributes of the Marketing Intern include, but are not limited to:

Social Media
Assist in compiling content for SMPs. Communicating and working closely with project teams
Assist in the creation of SMP calendar. Identify SMP opportunities, calendar, and post
Assist in SMP narrative creation, tagging, and mentioning of clients and consultants
Assist with photography
Marketing Proposal Narrative Database
Assist in the creation of template documents from approved content. Identify and carve out proposal sections based on specific content library
Assist in organizing and cataloging of narrative content for ease of use
Assist in archiving narratives no longer in use
Assist in proofreading marketing deliverables
Cosential Database (CRM)
Assist in mining and entering information into CRM database
Assist in requesting historical information from various team members
Assist in building-out content for project sheet creation
Assist with running reports
Assist team members with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested
Marketing Proposal/Quals Support
Assist in populating resumes
Assist in populating project sheets
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with project events
Assist with project event photos and video
Assist with employee head shots

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications or Digital Marketing (preferred), Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of marketing practices
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Good listener, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Creative Cloud a plus, ability to learn other software management systems required to perform the position
Strong time management skills for on-time project delivery
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results


Work Environment
Physical Demands: Persons in this position will primarily work in an office setting and with a laptop. This role could be required to lift heavy objects overhead.

Be willing to drive to project sites and our 4 offices in Irvine, Rancho Cucamonga, San Diego, and El Segundo.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in one of WEO’s California regional offices (El Segundo, Rancho Cucamonga) and on occasion may be required to visit the construction work site where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
