The Marketing Associate position is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies primarily designed to increase new membership, catering and hotel sales, engage with current members to increase member retention, and promote a positive image of the facility. This is a collaborative position working with the Club's department heads and staff and reports to the Marketing and Innovation Manager. This position is a highly skilled role requiring the knowledge and execution of current digital marketing tools, analytics, and software, along with strong copy writing ability across a range of marketing channels.
Responsibilities also include conducting periodic market research to provide information essential for revising current programs, which enhance the Club's competitiveness in the marketplace, as well as for fiscal and operational analysis as appropriate.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
* Develop marketing campaigns promoting programming and service offerings in all departments using digital and traditional media.
* Write and edit copy for member communications, event promotions, social media, press releases, and marketing collateral, adapting tone and style to fit each audience and channel.
* Design collateral and promotional materials for programming and events, including flyers, physical signage, digital graphics, and print, while maintaining brand consistency.
* Support and promote new and existing internal and external events. Grow participation in events through various marketing channels and communicate with members and property staff to help ensure coordination of activities during all phases of events.
* Create monthly content calendars for social media channels, build and maintain relationships with influencers, and engage with the online community.
* Flexibility and willingness to attend Club and community events and occasionally trade shows/expos, including evenings and weekends, to capture photos and videos for use across marketing channels. Knowledge of basic photo and video editing is a must.
* Maintain and update in WordPress, including design, content, media, and SEO optimization. Light knowledge of HTML preferred.
* Actively monitor and engage in customer reviews in all digital spaces, including but not limited to annual internal surveys, Google Business, Yelp, and social media. Work with department heads to ensure timely follow-up with service recoveries.
* Review and analyze internal and external market information reflecting member spend, usage, and satisfaction with the Club's programs and services.
* Monitor and track results of marketing and sales efforts, analyze budget variances, and recommend revised action plans to achieve budgeted goals.

Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign or similar tools, and comfort learning new platforms and software.
* Familiarity with WordPress and basic coding knowledge (HTML/CSS).
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with track record of effectively dealing a wide variety of personality types, including members, guests, department heads, and community members.
* Customer-service orientation to create an atmosphere of genuine care for members and guests and to provide a high level of personalized service.
* Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly, problem solve, and perform effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional, helpful, and poised demeanor.
* Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft platforms.
* Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume office environment.
Job Details
* Full time, 35 - 40 hours per week.
* Wage of $22 - $24 per hour + benefits including free parking & club membership.
* Some what Flexible Schedule; previous person worked weekends to have weekdays off, but that is not a requirement. However, some weekend days or nights may be needed due to events.
* Work Location: In-person at our historical downtown location next to the Spokane river.
* Personal office with window, not a cubicle.
