Job Description

The Affiliate Marketing Manager at The Hertz Corporation will own and grow the
affiliate channel as a core driver of rental bookings and revenue across the
Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, and Thrifty Car Rental brands. This role manages the
Hertz affiliate program on CJ (Commission Junction) and leads direct
relationships with large-scale partners including Rakuten and Capital One
Shopping to deliver incremental bookings, strong booking conversion, and healthy
revenue per booking.

You will recruit and optimize travel-focused publishers — including travel
content sites, loyalty and cashback programs, airline and hotel partners,
metasearch and comparison sites, and coupon and deal publishers — to put Hertz
in front of travelers at the moment they are planning and booking a trip.
Success in this role means turning affiliate traffic into completed rentals:
more confirmed bookings, longer rental days, and profitable growth in both
airport and off-airport locations.

A Day in the Life:

The Affiliate Marketing Manager sits within the Global Paid Media & Advertising
team and serves as a key connection point across Marketing, Meida, Promotions,
and agency partners. This role has primary ownership of Affiliate advertising and
all its operations as it relates to advertising budgeting & planning, content
and offer management, performance tracking & forecasting, and executive
reporting. You will manage cross-functional workstreams from planning through
execution, evaluate Affiliate investments against expected and realized business
outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and drive incremental
growth.

You will partner closely with the Global Paid Media & Advertising team and
Promotions team to coordinate in-market efforts to drive desired traffic and
bookings to US e-commerce channels. Full ownership of strategy, both near term
and long-term planning, affiliate network management and direct vendor
prospecting. Ability to coordinate with European counterparts and share best
practices to mature and advance the program to a single global standard.  You
will also own and continuously improve the processes, tools, documentation, and
governance required to effectively manage Affiliate Marketing investments.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong judgment, proactive
communication, and independent execution. You will be expected to anticipate
business needs, identify and escalate risks early, drive stakeholders toward
resolution, and take accountability for work through completion.

Note: this role will be required to work from our Estero, FL or Atlanta, GA
office at least 3 days per week.

The salary range for this position starts at $120k and commensurate with
experience.

What You’ll Do:

* Manage the Hertz affiliate program end-to-end on CJ (Commission
Junction): program setup, publisher recruitment and approvals, commission
structures, promotional offers, creative assets, product feeds, tracking and
attribution, invoicing, and compliance.

* Lead direct partnerships with Rakuten and Capital One Shopping: negotiate
commercial terms, commission and tenancy/placement buys, cashback and
card-linked offers, and co-marketing campaigns timed to peak travel periods
and promotional windows.

* Recruit, onboard, and grow travel publishers: proactively source travel
editorial, loyalty, airline, hotel, OTA-adjacent, and comparison publishers;
build joint business plans with top partners to increase Hertz share of
travel bookings.

* Drive booking conversion and revenue quality: optimize landing pages, offers,
and promotional messaging by partner to improve click-to-booking conversion,
revenue per booking, rental days per booking, and ancillary product attach
(insurance, upgrades, additional drivers).

* Own promotional calendar for affiliate: align affiliate offers with Hertz
brand campaigns, holiday and summer travel peaks, weekend getaway demand, and
location-specific needs in partnership with Revenue Management and Pricing.

* Monitor performance daily/weekly: track bookings, conversion rate, revenue
per booking, average daily rate (ADR) impact, cost per booking, and ROAS by
publisher and partner; identify underperformers and scale what works.

* Protect incrementality and brand: enforce Hertz affiliate policies on
trademark bidding, coupon-code use, and attribution; audit publishers for
brand compliance and fraudulent or low-quality traffic.

* Negotiate and manage economics: set and test commission tiers by publisher
type and booking value, manage placement fees within budget, and forecast
affiliate revenue and cost for Finance and Marketing leadership.

* Partner cross-functionally: work with Media & Advertising team on unified
go-to-market messaging, audience targeting, and incrementality. Work with
Digital E-com, Product, and IT on tracking implementation and site
experience, with Creative on assets that convert, with Legal on partner
terms, and with Hertz Promotions and Revenue Management teams on seasonal
offers and discounts.

* Test and learn: run structured tests on commission incentives, bonus
structures, exclusive codes, and landing-page experiences to lift confirmed
rentals without eroding margin.

* Report to stakeholders: deliver clear weekly and monthly readouts on
affiliate bookings, revenue, and pipeline — translating publisher activity
into business impact for marketing leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

* 4-6+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnership marketing, or
performance marketing, with direct ownership of program revenue and partner
relationships.

* Hands-on experience managing an affiliate program on CJ (Commission Junction)
— publisher recruitment, commissioning, offer management, tracking, and
reporting — is required.

* Experience managing large direct partners such as Rakuten and/or Capital One
Shopping (loyalty, cashback, shopping rewards, or card-linked offers),
including commercial negotiation and placement buying, is required.

* Travel, hospitality, car rental, airline, hotel, or online travel agency
(OTA) experience is strongly preferred; e-commerce experience driving online
bookings or transactions will also be considered.

* Proven track record of growing affiliate revenue and improving conversion —
ideally measured on completed bookings/transactions, revenue per
booking/transaction, and incremental ROAS, not clicks alone.

* Experience working with Revenue Management, Pricing, or Yield teams on rate,
offer, and inventory alignment is a plus.

* Strong commercial and negotiation skills — able to structure win-win
commission, tenancy, and bonus deals that grow Hertz bookings profitably.

* Analytical mindset — comfortable in Excel and analytics dashboards; able to
diagnose conversion drop-offs, compare revenue per booking by partner, and
make data-driven optimization decisions quickly.

* Deep understanding of affiliate tracking, attribution, and incrementality,
including CJ reporting and tag/tracking troubleshooting with Product and IT
partners.

* Relationship builder — clear, proactive communicator who can manage
day-to-day publisher contacts and present strategy and results to senior
Marketing stakeholders.

* Travel customer fluency — understands how travelers search, compare, and book
car rentals (airport vs. off-airport, trip length, vehicle class) and how to
match offers to that intent.

* Highly organized and self-directed — able to manage a promotional calendar,
multiple partner workstreams, and competing priorities in a fast-paced travel
environment.

* Working knowledge of loyalty/cashback economics and card-linked offers
(Rakuten, Capital One Shopping) and how they influence booking behavior.

* Familiarity with brand compliance, trademark bidding policies, and
coupon-code governance in affiliate programs.

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or a related area
preferred.

* Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
